Bellagio. An exclusive world famous hotel casino resort in Las Vegas, Nevada as well as a picturesque town in Lombardy, Italy. Both Bellagios are similar in that once in their midst, one is able to indulge the senses of a timeless world of luxury, style and elegance.

When completed, The Bellagio was the most expensive hotel that had ever been built. The total bill for the build upon the site formerly known as the Dunes was a staggering $1.6 billion. A further cheque for $88 million was written for the grand opening on October 15th 1998. Today it ranks as one of the top most prestigious hotel casino resorts on the Las Vegas Strip.

The theme of elegance and sophistication found in every sinew of the Bellagio was very much influenced by the beautiful Italian resort of Lake Como. Everybody who visits the Strip enjoys beyond compare, the water ballet show of the Bellagio Fountains. Stunning beyond words, it is (and will be, if you haven't seen it before) one of the most moving spectacles you may experience in your life.

With in excess of ten thousand staff attending enthusiastically to the occupants of the Bellagio's 3,933 hotel rooms and more visitors besides, this is one of the busiest hotels on the Strip.

This is, reportedly, where to go for the best poker in town. With high limits tables, the "Office" is a must among poker professionals. In addition, Bellagio is a magnet for the high end poker player because of the World Poker Tour as well as "Bobby's Room".

The casino is where you will find something for everybody! Fans of the ever-present slot machine have not been overlooked at the Bellagio, there are nearly two and a half thousand of them here. Fancy a bet? This is where to place your bets on sports meetings across the globe. There is in addition the Race and Sports Book, a 5,600 feet gaming playground. One hundred and fifty large screens positioned at every angle conceivable so that you don't miss a thing that's going on at any time! Why not spend some time in between races with a spot of Blackjack, Baccarat, Let it Ride, Pai Gow and Roulette. It's all here too, and more besides.

All this gambling can make you rather hungry. There are many restaurants to satisfy those tummy grumbles, all on site and with menus ranging from the finest a la carte to those quick bites. From sushi to the flavours of the Mediterranean, you can satisfy those taste buds here without compromise.

Back to those fountains. The wonderful Fountains of Bellagio deliver a different show every thirty minutes during the day and you don't have to be in the casino resort to enjoy the eye-catching spectacle. But it is the night, when mounted by a dark sky the fountains really burst to life with colours and in excess of 4,500 lights. The tunes the Fountains 'dance' to include 'Singing in the Rain' by Gene Kelly, 'Luck be a Lady Tonight' by Frank Sinatra and 'Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini' by Rachmaninov.

Why not combine your stag/hen night, wedding and honeymoon in Las Vegas? Many do! The Bellagio offers a wedding chapel for those happy people with a big event on the cards. What glamorous surroundings to pick for the special day in your life.

Art lovers have to look no further than the Bellagio for fine art and exclusive exhibitions open every day of the week. There is the Gallery of Fine Art currently offering the best of American modernism like O'Keefe and Stuart Davis.

Also at the Bellagio in conjunction with the "O" show, there is a new art gallery location containing the sculptors and drawings by the sculptor Richard MacDonald. His collaboration with the Cirque du Soleil can be enjoyed more widely at the fabulous new show, "O".

When you feel the need to wind down from all the excitement you'll be experiencing at the Bellagio, there is the relaxing Bellagio Spa and Salon. Offering a range of treatments including massage, meditation and beauty treatment, you will leave feeling like brand new, recharged and ready for anything perhaps even a tour of the hotel's designer boutiques.

When in the mood for 'anything', there is the Bellagio's resident Cirque du Soleil show "O" to enjoy. Based on the theme of water, you will watch in a perpetual state of amazement the world class performances of the show's troupe within a 1.5 million gallon water tank. Incredible stuff!

Last but by no means least, there are the tremendous business achievements at the Bellagio. If you have a business event to put together, the events team at the Bellagio will ensure it runs like clockwork. They will do everything for you too from the business stationery to decorating the function room of your choice (from a 45,000 square feet Grand Ballroom to something more small and perfectly formed).
